Thank you to everyone who entered the allotment competition and embraced my idea of composing your own painting with my small paintings.

Thank you Henry for writing a computer programme that enabled me to type in the numbers of each small painting and then see the finished allotment.

After several hours I have chosen my favourite and very close second,  favourite allotments... it was not easy and there were lots of inspiring entries.

Phew, all 57 new paintings are now safely delivered to Beside the wave in Falmouth for the exhibition, 'Down at the allotments'. The doors officially open on 17h Aug but I know that there are tasters on their web site already.
Most exciting and for some fun they have put up an on line competition, arrange six paintings and make your own allotment patch. Please have a go you might win your own designed signed print.

You are invited to visit my studio as part of the Surrey open studio event . This is the first year that I have taken part and am really enjoying showing visiters work from the 1980's to present day.
I have set up an exhibition outside my actual studio as that is shockingly small!

I am open 15th, 16th, 17th ,23rd and 24th June  11am -5pm.
Please do come and have a look.

You might be able to see in the photographs that I have some small resin squares, these are a taste of what I am working on for my next show at Beside the Wave in Falmouth. The gallery will have the paintings, all based on allotments which are 6in sq. these are collaged prints 4in sq. I hope people will have fun selecting their favourite pictures to create their own allotment painting.

Snowdrops

I was asked to paint snowdrops for a special commission almost before they were out, now they seem to be everywhere and I can't stop painting them...only problem is that I'm meant to be working on pictures for June exhibitions!
